AUCKLAND CLUB. The Auckland Cycle Club continued its road prograimie at Panmure on Saturday under fair conditions, a few light showers falling during racing. Eleven juniors competed in their GJ-mlle time trial and sealed handicap, with the following results : — Time trial:— B. Harvey, time 18.49, and L. Mitchell, 18.49. dead-heat 1 D. Banks, 18.52 3 F. Pearce, 19.5 4 The existing record was broken by 2s. Sealed handicap:— B. Sercombe (2.45). adjusted time 17.9 1 G. Ralph (3.30), 17.15 2 D. Banks (30s), 18.22 3 J. Stuart (1.0), 18.27 4 Twenty-three seniors faced the stnrtnr in their 25 miles handicap, which was decided over the Howick course and circuit. Result :— L. Coates (4.0), time 69.9 * W. Archer (4.0), G9.9 * K. Banks (3.40), 08.00 8 S. Fusscll (7.30) 4 *Dcad heat. S. Ward (scr) recorded fastest time in G7.11, which was 2.41 better than the course record. The ladies' (10 miles) handicap resulted : Miss F. Westbury, 1.30, 1; Mrs. E. Harrison, scr, 2, fastest time, 31.47. MANUKAU CLUB. Dry. dull, calm weather prevailed on Saturday afternoon, when the Manukau Amateur Cycling Club held its weekly races. Seven' juniors started and after a splendid ride Fraser won by three lengths from Lin Walker, with McKay, limit rider, a similar distance away in third place. Placed riders were :— Don. R. Fraser (1.0), time 14.31 1 Lin A. Walker (1.30), 15.3 2 J. R. McKay (2.0). 15.34 3 G. W. Grigg (1.30), 15.5: M. T. Winsor (1.0). 15.5; R. C. Chappell (scr), 15.4; Ron Wilson (scr), 15.5. Don Eraser was also the fnstest rider. He rode the five miles in 14.31. ' Thirty-one seniors started in their 20 miles race over eight laps of the hilly circuit. The A.A.A. and C.C. to-day held a combined seuior and junior 18-mile time trial, with a sealed handicap. Mclnnarney, split the rim of a wheel when he crashed over a bank in the last lap. TAKAPUNA AMATEURS. Saturday's race was a 26-mile sealed handicap, and time trial. The course was over the East Coast roads to Albany, and returning through Kauri Gully. The riders were sent off at two-minute intervals. Fast times were made by all the riders. All the parts of the course were in poor condition. Plncings were as follows:—L. Denning finished first and fastest in 66.53 riding from scratch; L. Coleman (6.45) in 74.13, 2; R. Eagles (0.45) in 68.27, 3 E. Williams (0.30) and D Keating (4.15) deadheateU for fourth place. LYNNDALE AMATEURS. Under ideal riding conditions with no wind at all the Lynndale Club held two time trials, one of 18 miles (four laps) for seniors and 9 miles (two laps) for juniors. Junior Placings.—B. Dull overhead conditions prevailed 'or the Gloucester Cycling Club's road events at Mangcre. Good fields contested and thrilling finishes were witnessed. The Reach Haven Cycling Club held a 215-mile race. The course was to Albany and return. Fast riding and a good finish between eight riders resulted as follows: — J. Marris (30s). 1: A.
