R R King hails from the West Coast, and'with 14 stone weight and over six feet in height has good qualifications tor All Black play. He has represented the South Island, and is regarded as one of the best men in the south. Giant Maori Forward. S T Reid is a Maori player from Hawke's Bay! With height and weight (15 stone) as two of his qualifications, he stood out in the trial matches for the ruggedness of his play, and his selection from the outset was assured. C Pepper plavs for Manukau and has been on the fringe of big football for three seasons. He has ..fine physique, and is one of the most honest scrum workers that Auckland football has known. The trial matches gave lum his big chance, and his showing was. so good that he won his place in the touring team on his merits. '
