The South African cricket eleven, unbeaten since they took the field at Worcester on May 1, commences its first Test against England at Trent Bridge, Nottingham, to-morrow.

Owing to rain on Wednesday, the match at Lord's between the South Africans and the Club Cricket Conference resolved itself into a one-day frame. Batting first the English side made G9, four bowlers sharing the wickets. Replying with 189 for four wickets (Rowan 103 not out), the South Africans won by six wickets and 120 runs. M.C.C. 1935 TEAM. MITCHELL-INNES COMING OUT. (Received 12 noon.) LONDON, June 13. The "Evening Standard" says that Brasenose College, Oxford, has made arrangements to permit N. S. MitchellInncs to accompany the Marylebone team to New Zealand in 1935. Mitchell-Innes headed the Oxford University batting in 1934. His figures were: 12 games, 21 innings, 3 not-outs, 998 runs, 171 highest score, average 55.44. He is a member of England's first Test team to play against South Africa at Nottingham to-morrow.
