JUNIOR MANAGEMENT AFFAIRS. WEIGHT POLICY QUESTIONED. At the meeting of the junior management committee of the Auckland Rugby League last' evening, with Mr. D. Wilkie presiding, motions of condolence were passed to Mr. and Mrs. T. Carey in the lose of their child, and to Mr. C. Howe in the passing of hie brother. Mr. Wilkie reported.-having attended the formation of the Green Lane Club, and said the prospects were good for a very strong district ■ unit in the game. Arrangements were in train to deal with the teams nominated.

Point Chevalier, having protested against Glen Ora, the two fourth grade players concerned weighed in for the grade close to the weight, and the protest fee was refunded. Northcote's protest on the weight of a Richmond sixth grader, was similarly dealt with. The desirability of compelling challenged players to weigh in on Saturday evening. after the match instead of. having until Tuesday, was discussed. It -was emphasised by a club delegate that the present system allowed too much scope for abuse of weights. The chairman and members concurred that some change was essential, and agreed to consider the proIn' reply to a letter from Ellerelie United Club it was decided to advise that the question of the refund of a protest fee or the deducting of players' fares from the protest foe, was a matter entirely at the discretion of the board, and there was no provision in the constitution for such refund being mandatory. The clash of the altered City colours with the registered red, white and blue; of Ellerslie was emphasised, and a suggestion was made that, for their. juniors againet Ellerslie, City should revert to their old red and black jerseys. A report stated that the Domain grounds were in bad condition t,his year, the No. 1 area cricket pitch part not having been turfed ae in previous years. Mr. Wilkie agreed to draw the attention of the senior board to the complaint.

Bedwell, Richmond to Akarana thirds; N. J. Sinclair, Richmond to Akarana. thirds. The transfer of F. Henshaw to City Rovers _ was referred back to Glen Ora for inquiry, the latter club delegate reporting that the player was given the transfer definitely specifying a club other than City Rovers.
