SEVERE SCALDS.
CONTRACTOR INJURED. Boiling water from the radiator of a log hauler which capsized when lie was operating it at Greenhitlie yesterday inflicted severe scalds on Mr. Sydney Thomas, aged 54, married, a contractor, of Albany. He was taken by St. John ambulance to the Auckland Hospital, where his condition is considered to be serious, though it has slightly improved since yesterday.
