ROYAL ARMOUR'S SUCCESS. HOSTILE DEMONSTRATION. MELBOURNE, June 3. The Victorian Racing Club'e Birthday meeting wae continued at Fleraington o-day, when the chief race, the Birthday Handicap, was won by Royal Armour. A hostile demonstration was made against Royal Armour, who registered a wretched performance, in the Sandringlmm Handicap on Saturday. To-day's reversal of form wae the subject of wide comment. The owner of Royal Armour invited the stewards to hold an inquiry, which was duly' held. The stewards accepted the explanation of the stable connections regarding Royal Armour's running on Saturday, compared with hie easy victory to-day. Results: — MARLBOROUGH HURDLES of £500.
