EDEN PARK MATCH. ' Combined Provincial Teams — Thousands Watch the Play. Thousands packed Eden Park's stands and terraces to watch the All Black Rugby trial match this afternoon. It was an ideal day for Rugby. While Auckland B and South Auckland played an entertaining curtainraiser; trams and cars brought hundreds to the ground in anticipation of a spectacular exhibition by players going eyes out in their efforts to get another j chance to show their wares to the ■selectors. i The selection committee, Messrs. E. ] McKenzie. chairman (Wairarapa), Mr.. V. R. S. Meredith (Auckland), Mr. A. A. Adams (West Coast), and Mr. W. Pearson (Otago), watched the game from seats on the side line. The teams were: — Auckland-North Auckland. Full-back: R. G. Bush (University). Three-quarters: R, White (North Auckland), T. H. C. Caughey (University), H. E. Brown (Otalvuhu). Five-eighths: D. Solomon (Ponsonby), E. Hedge (Otahuhu). Half-back: M. M. N. Corner (Grammar). Front row: R. Cooper (North Auckland), W. E. Hadley (Marist), C. Pepper (Manukau). Middle row: H. F. McLean (Grafton), A. Knight (Grammar), A. Ross (North Auckland), C. White (North Auckland). Back row: F. Solomon (Ponsonby). Reserves: C. Morrisscy, forward, and Cooney, back (both North Auckland).
