NO MORE WAR.
Mr. Doidge, rather unintentionally perhaps, proves on his own assertions that it is absolutely Imperative that Britain must • alliances with other Continental Powers, it Germany, as alleged by Mr. Doidge, held m check the combined might of Bntain, France, Belgium and Portugal for four years, and, incidentally, as a side issue, smashed Russia, MUJ and those who stood in her way in tne Balkans—well, then, on that record, -jvit Britain remaining neutral in another upheaval, Germany could smash Europe into a cocked hat. But, by the way, didn't Germany.have any allies at all in the World War? If she had been without the assistance of A'lstna, Turkey, Bulgaria and others, the duration ot the Great War would not have been four years. Anyone who served in France knows that the efforts of Belgium and Portugal from 1910 to 1918 were negligible. To make for peace wc must prepare for war, and that is rather Gilbertian, but nations have always fought and they always will. C bLUii.
