CAR OVER BANK.
TWO PEOPLE INJURED. Two people were injured when a motor car plunged over a bank into a gully on Foley's Hill, north of Albany, on Saturday afternoon. Driven by Miss L. M. Linnell, who was accompanied by her brother, Mr. T. J. Linnell, the car was travelling south towards Albany when it ran off the road, plunged down a 14ft bank, broke through a wire fence and somersaulted, throwing the occupants out. A passing motorist saw the accident and summoned the St. John Ambulance, who took Mr. and Miss Linnell, who live at Kaiwaka. to a private hospital in Auckland. Both had suffered head injuries, but their condition is not regarded as serious. Knocked down by a motor car at the corner of Franklin Road and Victoria Street, Freeman's Bay, on Saturday night, Mr. Edward John South, aged 28, married, of 10, Yarborough Street, Ponsonby, suffered a fracture of the thigh, and was taken by St. John ambulance to .the Auckland Hospital,
