JORDAN CUP. The Jordan Cup lawn tennis competition among affiliated Manukau clubs resulted itl a win for Te l'apapa, which defeated Carlton by seven matches to five. Results (Carlton first) :— ■ Ladies' doubles: Misses Jeffries and Morton beat Mrs. Hall and Miss Stokes, Misses Hammond and Brian lost to Mesdames Anderson and Roseman, Misses Trice and Kidd lost to Mrs. Deverill and Miss Jack, Mesdames Rollerson and Greenland lost to Mrs Sutherland and Miss Webster. Men's doubles: Pert and Kidd beat McMinn and F. Langton, Stone and Smith beat Jack and Shand, Short and Backhurst lost to T. Hall and Bentley, Adams and Johnson i ost M t0 ,? arke F.,. and Hall - Combined doubles: Mrs. Short and Northrop beat M r?- Lapgton nnd Churchill, Mrs. Johnson and Jilhngs beat Miss Walsh and L. Langton, Miss Gubb and Hosking lost to Mrs r.aird and Tan Held, Mrs. Jeffries and Brian lost to Knight and Mrs. Knight.
