N.Z. CHAMPIONSHIP. AGGREGATE TO D. P. NORTH. C. SEDDON GETS POSSIBLE. The New Zealand Gun Club's championship meeting terminated on Saturday, when the 18 yards championship of 21 birds attracted a field of 48. The trap threw the birds at a very fast pace and conditions, with a fog prevailing nearly all the morning, tested the skill of the competitors. The winner was C. Seddon, of Hamilton, who was the oniy competitor to secure a possible. Best Scores.—C. Seddon (Hamilton) 21, D. Ewing (Whangarata) 20, D. P. North (Whangarei) 20, S. G. Glennie (Gisborne) 19, M. Pratt (Otorohanga) 19, E. Groome (Hastings) 19, A.. N. Turner (Christchurch) 19, H. Quarterman (Wanganui) 19, T. Wrigley (Levin) 19, J. McMullan (Morrinsville) 19, N. Saunders (Masterton) IS, J. Donnelly (Auckland) 18, G. Bretherton (Taumarunui) IS, J. T. Duncan (Taihape) 18, F. Joblin (Morere) 18, A. McLeod (Methven) 18, C. C. Rae (Coromandel) 18. A double-rise match of 10 pairs of birds attracted an entry of 41, the winner being J. Malcolm ,of Huntly, who shot 19 out of 20 birds. As well as securing first money, Malcolm won a trophy presented by. Mr. T. P. Laffey. Nevt best scores :— F. Joblin (Palmerston North) IS, D. Ewing (Whangarata) IS, G. 11. Brown (Metropolitan) IS, C. Seddon (Hamilton) 18. The prize money for a first miss-out sweepstake was divided :—S. G. Glennie (Gisborne) 16yds, 11. Quarterman (Wanganui) 19yds, A. J. Hanigan (Metropolitan) 12yds, and A. J. Richards (Taumarunui) 15yds. An aggregate badge, awarded to the shooter witli the highest aggregate in the three championship events, was won by D. P. North, of Whangarei, who, although not winning any title, returned a score of 09 out of a possible G3. The annual general meeting of the New Zealand Gun Club Association was held on Saturday evening, Mr. T. S. Harrison, vice-president, presided (in the absence of the president, Mr. D. F. Denehy) over a good attendance of delegates from nearly all the affiliated clubs. After the election of officers for the ensuing year, the new champions were toasted, and the trophies won last week were presented.
