BASKETBALL DANCE.

In order to celebrate the opening of the Taupaki Basketball Club a dance was held in the Public Hall on Wednesday evening. An orchestra from Auckland supplied the latest dance music, and also included iu its programme many old time numbers. Visitors from clubs in the surrounding districts included those from Kumeu, Hobsonville, Henderson, Swanson, Waitakere and Auckland. Members of the Taupaki Club served an excellent supper and dancing was enjoyed until midnight. Mr. A. Giles, who was in charge of the programme arrangements, thanked all those present who 'aad assisted in making the evening such an outstanding success.
