OUR COMPETITION CORNER
A GEOGRAPHICAL PUZZLE,
Whether you are good geographical scholars or not, this week's competition should prove of interest. All that you are required to do is to construct a chain of geographical names in which the last two letters of one word are the first two letters of the next, for example: Gascony, Nyassa, San Francisco, Congo. Names of towns, countries, rivers, mountains, islands, or, in fact, any physical features at all, may be used, but the same word must, not be used twice. List your geographic chain neatly and post it to reach Peter Pan, care "Star" Office, Shortland Street, Auckland, by Saturday next. Eight halfcrown prizes are offered for the best Matn received.
