PRESENTATION.
A ceremony took place yesterday at the Westmere School, Grey Lynn, when the headmaster, Mr. K. G. Maclaurin, on behalf of the staff, and Mr. W. H. Newton, chairman of the committee, on behalf of the parents and pupils, presented a number of books to Mr. C. W. Boswell, M.A., who, prior to his promotion to the head mastership of the Kawakawa District High School, had been the first assistant at Westmere. The speakers referred to Mr. Boswell's period of 14 years' service under three headmasters, to the uniformly high percentage of proficiency certificates gained by the pupils in' his class, and to the esteem in which he was held in the district. ....
