KENTISH ASSOCIATION
There \yos a large attendance of members and friends at the May social of the Association of Men of Kent and Kentish Men and Women, hold in the Fabian Club rooms, tho president. Mr. XV. J. Lane presiding. Mrs. W. 11. Parkes gave a most interesting talk on "Rambles Through Highways and Byways of the Mother Land, , ' illustrating with a splendid set of lantern slides." Those of Kentish towns and villages proved of particular interest. At the conclusion of her talk, Mrs. Parkes wi\s presented with a bouquet of chrysanthemums by the president's wife, on behalf of the members. Mr. Lane referred to the King's Silver Jubilee, and "Land of Hope and Glory" was sung bv Mrs. Lane, who was accompanied by Miss Helen Harmon. A further enjoyable- item was a sketch, given by Miss Nonie Wright and Mr. Jack Parsons. Dancing concluded a very pleasant evening, Mr. S. Aspiuwall supplying the music.
