HEAVY CEUB PROGRAMME
UNBEATEN" TEAMS SATURDAY.
Arising out of a letter from a piovincial centre, the Auckland Rugby League last evening, with Mr. G. Grey Campbell presiding, pointed out that the jiresent club programme, which seemed to ue working out attractively, would occupy until September, and, in view of provision having to be considered for the lnteiIsland match and the Australian visit, there may not be much opportunity loi representative fixtures. The application therefore was deferred.
The principal game on Saturday "ill be between the unbeaten teams, Richmond and Marists, preceded by -Newton and I'onsonby.
As the result of an application from j the Devonport Club, the Blount Albert team will meet Devonport at North Shoie, this being the first senior fixture away from headquarters. The Devonport reserve side will play Mount Albert reserves at Movniugside." Other away matches were considered and dates pencilled. The two players ordered off on Saturday were each suspended for one week. The club concerned with a reinstated player, who was alleged to have withdrawn from a Union club without paying his subscription, advised that the complaint was unfounded, and the Lnion club's attitude seemed to be inspired because the player took another pla>tr with him to this code.
