JUNIOR MANAGEMENT AFFAIRS. NEW TRANSFER RULE PROTECTION At the meeting of the junior management committee of the Auckland Rugby League last evening, Mr. E. Chapman presiding, a complaint was received from the Akarana Club that the City Rovers Club had acquired four of its third grade players for the reserve seniors without due notice, with the result that Akarana was compelled to play its team short in the grade. It was pointed out by Mr. Stonex that the senior board on Wednesday had decided all transfers and clearances were to come before the junior committee to protect junior clubs, which would lie fully advised and protected. The matter is to be brought to the notice of the senior board. The Waiuku club advised that it had the use of Massey Park, and the charge of the domain board for the ground was sent on to the control board for approval. Regrades.—R. A. Walker, Ponsonby seconds to thirds; L. V. Mendelson, Ellerslie seconds to thirds. | ■ Clearances. —K. Rawiri, City Rovers j seniors to Manukau seconds; W. Harvey. I Ponsonby to R.V.; 11. Hutchinson, City fourths, for misbehaviour, was withdrawn at the pleasure of the committee and the player was warned.

Wellington Progress. The chairman of the Auckland Board of Control, Mr. G. Grey Campbell, who returned yesterday from Wellington, stated that he had had an opportunity to meet the new executive and was impressed with the keen organisation of the game. The new regime of seniors were taking the field well equipped and controlled, and the clubs had good coaches. The management was insisting that none but approved players should be admitted to the code. The securing of a good ground at tho Hutt was an enterprising move and the League had playing areas adequate for its present requirements, with provision for the immediate future.
