A striking tribute of respect to the late Mr. C. W. S. Flett, of the Commercial Hotel, was paid yesterday, when the funeral comprised over 70 motor cars and many beautiful wreaths were given. The Rev. C. G. Scritngeour conducted a special service at the graveside at Hillsboro' Cemetery, and there was also a Masonic service with the support ot the fraternal orders, Lodge of Light, 454, I.C. (Thames) and Lodge Ara, 348, I.C. Among the wreaths from commercial and sporting interests and a wide circle of other friends in the Auckland and Goldfields districts, were those of the Grammar Old Hoys and Maliukau Rugby Union Clubs, and by tile Auckland Rugby League and the New Zealand Rugby League. m
