LEAGUE FOOTBALL.

BOARD OF CONTROL.

RULINGS ON OXiUB QUERIES.

SENIOR MATCH FOR ONEHUNGA,

At its weekly meeting last evening the Auckland Rugby League Board of Control, witk Mr. G. Grey Campbell presiding, decided to give the Ponsonby-City match pride of place in the week-end's series of senior matches, with the Richmond-Devon-port fixture as curtain-raiser.

Arising from comment made on delays in play at Carlaw Park due to attention given to players injured on the fbld, it was resolved to require that players not seriously hurt bo removed promptly to the sideline,

In reply to a suggestion Dy City Rovers Club that the present insurance allowance to injured players was inadequate, particularly to married players, the board ruled that any increase would have to be at the expense of club percentages.

A further club questionnaire drew the following replies: (1) An injured player can be replaced up to the end of the first .spell; (2) an injured player is one incapable of carrying on in play; (3) a team which plays twelve players in the first half is entitled to add a player, even in the second half, because the laws of the game provide for thirteen men a side; (4) players or oflicials of a club arc not entitled to convene meetings of players with members of another club. A suitable date, with alternative, was submitted for an early senior fixture at Onehunga, which was the subject of a request by the Munukau Club. Mr. D. WTlkic was granted a month's leave of absence. Tho reinstatement of J. Speight and S. J. Bennett was approved, subject to confirmation by the New Zealand Council. Registrations: E. Brown, X. McCarthy and J. F. Taylor, to I'onsonby; 0. Tryon and L. J. Scott, to Devonport; F. Blyth and L. Martinovich. to Mount Albert; and L. R. Davis, to Richmond. After a sympathetic discussion on a request for a senior match at Onehunga, the meeting decided to accede to the request at an early date. Saturday's programme:— Senior.—City v.
