JUNIOR MANAGEMENT. FOURTH GRADE PROTEST UPHELD. The junior management committee of the Auckland Rugby League met last evening, Mr. D. Wilkie presiding. On a protest the fourth grade match in which Richmond beat Point Chevalier was awarded to the losers, the winners having played a third grade player. If any bearing on championships the matches Newton fourths v. Xorthcote, I'onsonby thirds v. Richmond (Xo. 2 section), Xorthcote thirds v. Marist, Glcnora sixths v. Point Chevalier. A fourth grade player, ordered off for using his lists and failing to give his correct name to the referee when asked, was suspended for two playing Saturdays. The Auckland Referees' Association wrote advising that it had dealt with two of its members whose explanations for failing to keep match engagements on Saturday were reported.
