IF WAR SHOULD COME.
R.S.A. AND MR. FORBES' OFFER (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, Monday. "That this R.S.A. dissociates itself entirely with the resolution passed by the Auckland R.S.A. whereby it condemned the offer of help from New Zealand in the event of international trouble," is the wording of a resolution which was carried by the executive of the Invercargill R.S.A. The Auckland resolution made reference to the statement by the New Zealand Prime Minister, Mr. Forbes, as cabled from Canada, to the effect that "when the Empire was at war New Zealand was at war." The Auckland R.S.A. disapproved of this unconditional offer of assistance.
