JUBILEE HONOURS.
DISTRIBUTION CRITICISED. | (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, Monday. A resolution bearing on the distribution of the Silver Jubilee medal was carried by the executive of the Invercargill R.S.A. The resolution is as follows: "That this executive committee views with regret the distribution of some of the jubilee honours. As the medal is a personal souvenir from His Majesty, presumably for service rendered to one's country in either military or civilian capacity, this association considers that the party responsible for the recommendation of honours has placed paramount importance on the acquisition of worldly goods or support lent by political supporters as being of more consequence to the Empire than service rendered in time of war or disinterested labour and sacrifice in time of peace."
