SMART AUTUMN FROCKING,

Although the weather was showery this morning there was a good attendance at the second day of the Avondale meeting. The cool snap in the air encouraged slightly heavier coats to be worn, and these, especially in the tweed mixtures, were most striking. They showed wide revere, belts and large pockets. Hats matched, and many were trimmed with feather mounts and quills. In some cases the coats had fur collars, and with the tailored suits, furs were also used.
