OTAGO IS PLEASED. CONDUCT OF X.Z. CARNIVAL. (By Telegraph.—Special to " Star.") DUXEDIX, this day. At a meeting of the Otago Swimming Centre it was decided to write to tbe secretary of the Auckland Centre (Mr. Walter Batty, the New Zealand Rugby representative), congratulating him on the outstanding success that had attended the New Zealand championship meeting at Auckland on February 10, 18 and 20. Appreciation was aleo expressed of the splendid way in which visitors had been entertained.
AUCKLANDERS FOR ROTORUA. For the wind-up cf the «?wiinming season at Rotorua on Saturday night a small but select team from Auckland will compete. It consists of K. Frankhain, W. Johnson, It. Skinner, S. Grange anil X. Ludlow.
FUNERAL OF MR. J. W. BICKERTON. The Mount Eden Amateur Swimming Club invites its members < s to attend the funeral of Mr. J. W. Bickerton, which leaves No. 2, William Street. near Dominion Road, at 2 o'clock on Sunday. Aged 23. nnd a former well-known member of the club. Mr. Bickerton met his death by accident on March 7, aboard the Makura outboard hound for San Francisco.
