PLUNKET SOCIETY.
DEVONPORT BRANCH. The annual meeting of the Devonport branch of the Plunket Society was held in the Navy League rooms oil Thursday evening. The Mayor of Devonport, Mr. H. F. W. Meikle, presided. The annual report showed that the branch had maintained its strong position during the year, and the balance-sheet disclosed a credit balance in hand. Concessions had been made to the Plunket nurse by various local bodies, and business houses had with the branch organisation in a variety of ways. Special mention was made of the retirement of the president, Mrs. J. P. Kalauglier, and the treasurer, Mrs. S. G. Vaile. In recognition of their services they were elected vice-presidents. Officers were elected as follows: — Patrons, Mr. and Mrs. 11. F. W. Meikle; president, Mrs. E. G. Whitley; vicepresidents, Mrs. J. P. Kalauglier and Mrs. S. G. Vaile; lion, secretary, Mrs. H. Corbett; lion, treasurer, Mrs. M. M. Morrison; committee, Mrs. A. E. Alison, Mrs. T. H. Palmer, Mrs. J. B. Crawford, Mrs. G. Clarke-Walker, Sirs. A. T. Griffiths, Mrs. J']. H. Little, Mrs. J. Newell, Mrs. J. N. Waddell, Mrs. Robert Wynyard, Mrs. J. G. Palairet, Mrs. A. E. Wilson, Miss Bennett.
