FLYING TESTS.
BLEDISLOE CUP CONTEST. SOUTH ISLAND RESULTS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NELSON, this day. The South Island elimination for the Bledisloe Cup resulted: — R. Lucas (Nelson). 108 points, 1; McSkimming (Otago), ICO, 2; Lewie (Canterbury), 141, 3. The Cory-Wright Cup resulted: — J. B.' Reid (Wairarapa), 00 per cent, 1; S. E. Duncan (Nelson) and K. G. Smith (Wellington), equal. 80 per cent, 2; Miss C. Parkinson (Wanganui), 7i5 per cent, 4.
The jucljre said Miss Parkinson's performance in navigation was outstanding for a lady pilot. the -Biedisloe. Clip was presented for the winner of a competition embracing airmanship, landing and air navigation. It is open to all A or endorsed A license pilots who have received their licenses in the last 12 months. ' The Cory-Wright Cup is open to all club-trained pilots. It includes a navigation test over a rectangular course. A written report and maps of the course followed have to be prepared, with a time 'limit of 20 minutes.
