It is not unusual after a season or so trimming to find that the edge of the lawn has got very uneven. Where it has spread the best way is to stretch a line and cut beyond it. bringing the edge back to the original position. Where, however, the edge has worn away, this is not possible. The method in this case is to stretch the line to the correct position. Thrust in the spade and force the turf forward until it is just beyond the correct line. Now fill in behind with some jrood soil, firming it well.
