PETER WAN'S PROGRESS.
Basing their opinions on what they deem has been rather unimpressive weigh t-for-age form in Melbourne this autumn, many admirers of Peter Pan are confident that the dual Melbourne Cup winner will sweep the board during the A.J.C. carnival. They qualify their contentions with an "if, the "if" in this instance relating to Peter Pan reproducing his best form, but trainer F. McGrath is quite satisfied with the chestnut's progress and does not entertain any thoughts of deterioration. Nothing very strenuous has been asked 'of Peter Pan since his return to training, but he looks in nice condition, and the near future perhaps will see him in searching trials.
