FARMERS HOLD WOOL.
THIRD SALE OF SEASON. SMALL OFFERING EXPECTED. The third and final local wool sale of the present season is to be held on Friday next, and from all accounts the catalogues seem likely to bo much small or than was at one time expected. This is due to the fact that farmers, dissatisfied with the present state of the wool market, arc refusing to oiler it at next week's auction. A large quantity of wool is already in the stores, but much of this will be withheld from the sale, unless graziers change (heir minds during the next two or three buyers will arrive in Auckland from Napier on Tuesday morning, but, in view of the small catalogue, which may number from 12,000 to 13,000 bales, will probably not commence their valuations until Wednesday morning.
