KILLED AT SEA.
SEAMAN ON MAKURA.
RESIDENT OF AUCKLAND.
The Auckland office of the Union Steamship Company received a radio message this morning stating that while the R.M.s.s. Makura was en route from Papeete to San Francisco, an ordinary scaenian on board, Mr.' J. Bickerton, met with an accident and died immediately.
Mr.' Bickerton was at one time on the Norther Steamship Company's Taniwha, also the Richardson Company's steamer Pukeko, and on the cable ship Recorder. His parents live at 2, William Street, Dominion Road.
