SUGAR AGREEMENT.

CANBERRA, this day.
Although the Federal Ministry agreed three weeks ago to renew the sugar agreement for a further five years, the Government will not introduce legislation to this effect until the end of the year. Various modifications in the form of the agreement are contemplated, and these will not be undertaken until Mr. Lyons returns from England.
