LOW BIRTH RATE.
VICTORIAN STATISTICS. (Received 10 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this clay. The Government Statistician reports that the birth rate in Victoria in 1934 was the lowest but one on record.There were 27 828 births, or 10.10 per 1000 of the population. On the other hand the marriage rate was the highest since 1927.
