Dr. and Mrs. R. L. Sutton, who have been up North for deep-sea fishing, left for their home in America to-day by the Mariposa.
Mrs. F. W. Wilson, of. Mountain Road, accompanied by her daughters Mary and Jean, left to-day for the South Island.

Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Stratton, of Hawke's Bay, have returned from Melbourne-, where Mr. Stratton captained the New Zealand croquet team in the Melbourne Centenary tests. * * • *

Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Deacon, of Melbourne, who have been spending .three months' holiday with their brother, Mr. A. Deacon, Pollen Street, Grey Lynn, returned by the Wanganella on Monday. They intend spending a week in Sydney and then motorinsj to Melbourne, accompanied by their son, Mr. Sydney Deacon.
