A New Zealand record for deep sen li.sliing for this season wa* established by a parly of Hamilton anglers who have returned from Mayor Island. In five days they caught eleven fish, five on one day, Mr. G. Morpeth caught a niako shark weighing 1101b and four ewordflsh ranging from 2201b to 3001b. Mr. IT. W. Burch caught two ewordflsh weighing 2281b and 2401b" respectively, Mr. K. A. McKinley two weighing 3801b and 3201b, and Mr. C. Trigg a ewordflsh weighing 3011b and a mako shark weighing 2011b.
