DAIRY BOARD.
GOVERNMENT NOMINEES.
NO DECISION YET
(By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.)
WELLINGTON, this day
No decision has yet been made as to the Government appointments to the Dairy Board, according to a statement made ill the House of Representatives yesterday by the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Macmillan. Mr. C. A. Wilkinson (Independent, Egmont) inquired whether the Government accepted any responsibility for the repeated statements that such appointments were already arranged, and whether it recognised that statements of that nature were likely to prejudice the prospects of candidates in localities where it \va* stated that the Government appointees resided. "Statements of the character mentioned have no foundation in fact, sam the Minister, "and the Government therefore cannot accept »«/"«£. bilitv for them or for any effect they may have on any candidates."
