RICHMOND ROVERS' CLUB. The annual meeting of the Richmond Rovers Club attracted the largest attendance on record, tlio Gaiety Hall nt Surrey Crescent being crowded out. Mr. W. A. Swift presided fml congratulated the club and supporters on the continued progress,! particularly referring to the various team achievements last season, capped by Ulehnion seniors' victories over Western Suburbs of Sydney. The chairman added that the; club wan very grateful for much evidence ! of district interest In its welfare. i The lengthy report referred to the good performances of teams in all grades an 1 | ti> trophy-winners, imd the balance-sheet, , which disclosed 11 heiilthy fluauclal position, also was adopted. ! In the absence of the chairman-of the, Auckland Board of Control, the secretary, Mr. Ivan Culpjin, presented caps to the senior and reserve grade champions and I congratulated them. Mr. l>. AVilkie, chair-1 man of the junior management committee,' j made the presentations to the third open ; and seventh grade winners. It was 1 announced that a supporter of the club, Mr. I Beaston, had donated a handsome cup for the most Improved player in the former grade, the annual winner to receive a miniature. Offleers were elected ns follows:—Patron, Mr. W. .f. Ilohlsworth: vice-patron, Mr. J. Redwood; president. Mr. B. W, Davis; i chairman, Mr. AV. A. Swift; secretary and treasurer, Mr. W. K. Dick; club captain,! Mr. Hay Upland; delegate to primary school board. Mr. C. Howe: auditor. Mr. .T. ' A. Iledward; junior vice-presidents wev re-elected, with the addition of Messrs. Grey's Rullding, and' decided that the annual meeting of the junior organisation bR held on the 20th inst. Nominations for the committee will close on the I.4th.
