MT. ALBERT PROTEST.
Acting on a letter received from the Christehurch City Council, the Mount Albert Borough Council decided last night to write to the Prime Minister protesting against the provisions of the Mortgage Corporation Hill which would apparently include properties covered by the bill in the sunie category as tnoee over which the State Advances Omue had a mortgage. Mr. H. A. Auclereon said that u tne Government met ite obligations in rates the council would be able to reduce the year's levy by 10 per cent. "There must bu no 'let-up i» _ the struggle to have this injustice remedied, said the Mayor, Mr. R. Ferner.
