MINISTER WELCOMED.
i i ■ ST. ANDREW'S CHURCH. The new minister of St. Andrew's Church, the Rev. P. G. Hughes, was welcomed at a function in the church last evening. The Bev. Frazer B. Barton, interim moderator of the Presbyterian Church, presided. Mr. Hughes was welcomed by the Rev. W. P. Kankin, moderator of the Presbytery, Mr. A. J. Entrican, the Rev. W. J. Comrie and other local ministers, and by Miss E. Campbell and Messrs. S. Falls and G. T. Lee, on behalf of the congregation. During the evening a presentation was made to Mr. Frazer Barton in recognition of his services as moderator. Musical items were given by Misses Gwenda Weir and Patricia McLeod and Messrs. John Finlayson and Robert Simmers.
