"NOT FAIR."
CHRISTCHURCH CRY. TOUR OF ATHLETES, SUDDEN CHANGE RESENTED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. "It is high time the New Zealand Council improved the rOnning of these tours. Wc feel that centres are not being considered nor treated fairly, declared Mr. J. K. Moloney, president of the Canterbury Amateur Athletic Centre, at a meeting of the centre executive. A letter had ibeeu received from the secretary of the Now Zealand Council stating that the' British and Finnish athletes would now leave Christchurch on Saturday night instead of Monday, as previously arranged. Mr. Moloney said it was probable that the council wanted the team to compete again in Wellington. It wa& about time such tours were 110 longer chopped about so much. The council was not considciing the centres at all.
Other members supported Mr. Moloney's remarks. It was decided to fall in with the council's arrangements provided the meeting in Christchurch on Saturday does not have to be postponed owing to rain.
