GOVERNOR-GENERAL.
FAREWELL IN AUCKLAND. CHILDREN AT DOMAIN. A telegram has been received from Sir Cecil Day by Mr. N. R. W. Thomas, secretary for the central committee of the Auckland patriotic societies, stating that the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, 011 his visit to Auckland next week, will be pleased to attend at the Auckland Domain at 3 p.m. next, Thursday, March 7, to be farewelled by Auckland children and citizens.
A meeting of primary school headmasters has been called for Friday evening to discuss details, and on Monday evening a meeting will be called of representatives of organisations who wish to take part. Arrangements are being made for bands and transport.
