MISS BATTEN'S PLANS.
Speculation on Long Flight in Near Future. CROSSING THE TASMAN? (Received 10.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The "Daily Telegraph" says that flying enthusiasts are convinced that Miss Jean Batten is contemplating a long flight in the very near future. Some say she will make a spectacular flight to New Zealand, while others consider that it will be to England.
Miss Batten's whereabouts at present are unknown. Her 'plane is being overhauled at Mascot, and recently she has been practising landings at dusk.
