DOGS AMD DISEASE.
A recent medical journal stated that thousands of eases of eye, ear, nose and skin disease were traced directly to the clea:i- domestic dog. Take Onehunga, where there are more disease-infected dogs num!n<v 011 the beach and streets than any place in New Zealand. A serious epidemic "of ring-worm affected nearly every child in the schools, and this con!.' be traced to dogs rubbing and playing round the children's swimrs. It- bits been definitely proved in New "Zealand that dogs carry the germs o* caiucr of the eve, nose and throat, hydatids and almost very known skin disease, and this on dogs that arc carefully groomed and washed.
