VISIT TO TE AROHA,

Sir Alexander was heartily welcomed to the town by the Mayor, Mr. R. Coulter, "by the chairman and by Mr. Mcpherson on behalf of the Morrinsville Association.
Sir Alexander, in reply, said he claimed to be a New Zealand returned soldier, although lie had been many years in returning, consequent upon the post-war duties allotted him. He related a- number of war reminiscences and gave interesting particulars of the war merorials erected in France. He paid a high tribute to the splendid war services of the New Zealand Division, which had attained its highest point at Gallipoli, while at Passcliendaele it had fought one of the most successful battles of the war.
Sir Alexander said lie and. Lady Godley were gratified in being able to visit Te Aroha, and lie congratulated the Mayor on the lovely town it had become, with' its beautiful gardens and river, mountain and scenic attractions.
