Mr. J. F. Ewen went South by the Limited last night. Mr. J. M. Elliffe left for Wellington by the Limited last night. Mr. R. A. Laidlaw leaves for the South by the Limited, to-night. Mr. C. K. Ford left for Wellington by the express yesterday afternoon. Sir Alexander and Lady Godley left Te Aroha for Tauranga this morning. Mr. C. A. Whitney, of Auckland, is iishing the liakaia Kiver for quinnat salmon. Captain L. Vaughan Morgan, second naval member of the Naval Board. leaves for Wellington by the Limited to-night. Dr. C. E. Beeby, executive officer of the New Zealand Educational Research Council, left for Wellington last night after a brief visit to AucklandMr. J. H. F. Rishworth, assietantehemist to the Wellington Gas Company, has been appointed manager of the Hamilton corporation gas works. Mr. F. W. Gilmour, formerly metropolitan engineer for main roads for the \Yest Australian Government, arrived at!- Wellington on Monday to take up the position of manager of Emulsified Asphalt (N.Z.), Ltd. He was accompanied by Mrs. Gilmour.
