WEATHER FORECAST
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton: — Moderate to fresh 1 south-easterly winds. The weather will be mainly fine and rather milder, but some scattered showers are still probable, especially in the Far North. Seas will be rather rough. Though still rather low to the east, pressure is rising slowly over New Zealand, and the anti-cyclone over the Tasman Sea is- definitely moving eastward. HAUBAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day: — Wind, sou'-sou'-cast, moderate; sea moderate; weather line and clear; visi- ; bility good; barometer rising. 1
