POLICE FORCE.
PROMOTIONS AND CHANGES. ONE AUCKLANDER INCLUDED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A number of promotions and transfers in the police force are annotmeed. Senior Sergeant Calwell, officer in charge of the Taranaki Street Police Station, is to be transferred to Christchurch, and will, be replaced here by Senior Sergeant J. J. Power, of Hamilton. Senior Sergeant Fox, of Christchiirch, has been promoted to sub-inspector and transferred. Senior Sergeant G. H. Lambert, of Newton, Auckland, is to go to Hamilton, Senior Sergeant H. J. Joyce, of Taihape, succeeding him. Sergeant W. J. Nixon, on tho start of the Commissioner's office, has been promoted to the rank of senior sergeant. Sergeant T. Moriarty, of Frankton Junction, has beer, promoted to senior gergeant, and transferred to Palmerston North to replace Senior Sergeant Whitehouse, who is soon to retire. Sergeant W. Blake, of Waihi, has been made senior sergeant.
