BRITAIN THANKED.
AUSTRIA'S GRATITUDE. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 2 p.m..) RUGBY, February 26. Dr. Schuschnigg, Chancellor, and Dr. Berger-Waldenegg, Foreign Minister of Austria, yesterday visited Mr. Arthur Henderson. The topics discussed with him are understood to have covered questions in which he is interested as president of the Disarmament Conference, and as a leading member of the Labour party. Sir Robert Vansittart, representing Sir John Simon, Mr. Anthony Eden and Austrian Ministers at London were at the station to bid farewell to Dr. Schuschnigg and Dr. Berger-Waldenegg when they left London for Vienna this afternoon.
During their two-day visit the Austrian Ministers gave members of the British Government full information in regard to current events in Austria and their recent conversations with the French Ministers. They also expressed gratitude for the assistance given Austria by Britain in effecting the recent conversion of the League of Nations loan.
