SALES TAX PROTEST.
INEQUITABE INCIDENCE. (By Tclegrapli.—Press Association.) FEiLDING, this*day. The Feilding Chamber of Commerce passed a resolution favouring the abolition of the sales tax, on the ground of the inequitability of its incidence, and also on'account of the cost of collection. As an alternative, the chamber suggested a reduction of the tax to 2S per cent.
