SOUTH RHODESIA.
Interesting Tour of Empire Press Delegates. DOMINION AMBITIONS. (Received 10.30 a.m.) SALISBURY, February 19. After visiting the Victoria Falls the Empire Press Conference delegates are now spending two days here. They were the guests last night of the Government of Southern Rhodesia at a banquet, and were welcomed by the Governor, Sir Herbert Stanley. / The Prime Minister, Mr. G. M. Huggins, said that Southern Rhodesia would be regarded in future as a Dominion. They had a perfect organism but had not yet grown feathers. They were anxious to assume full plumage. Mr. Huggins added that Cecil Rhodes was still held in high estimation by all good Rhodesians. Anyone who slighted Rhodes slighted all Rhodesians. I The delegates were greatly impressed by the visit to Dombashawa School for Africans, where natives from kraals in all parts o. Rhodesia are taught agriculture, carpentry and other crafts. On the way to Johannesburg to-morrow the delegates will visit Zimbabwe ruins.
