QUARANTINE OF ANIMALS.
When is the present Government going to start in earnest on its economy campaign, of which we have heard so much" about? Upon making inquiries I learn that when an animal arrives here and has to go into quarantine n't Motuihi a special boat must l>e chartered for this purpose at great expense to the charterer. Surely there are numerous fanners handy to Auckland who are fully qualified in veterinary work who would be only too pfeased to subsidise their present meagre returns by a small remuneration f>cny» ttio Oovwnnieni* r'or &>•''* work, and thereby sftvo tne countn hundreds of pounds yearly. CITIZEN.
